About

Yellow Paper Burger originally started as an homage to the rich hamburger culture in Los Angeles. Co-owner Colin Fahrner noticed that many of his favorite burgers came wrapped in an iconic yellow paper, hence the name was born. What started as a weekend hobby grew into doing public popups in bars around town in 2019.

Fast forward to July 2020, the world had shutdown and Colin was laid off from his job as GM of Tony’s Saloon. Colin and Katie decided to move the pop-ups to the backyard of their home, handing off bags of burgers and hand pies to family and friends in the alley. The popups were a hit and led to a feature in Eater LA, an episode on The Burger Show, and countless pop-ups all over Los Angeles.

In 2024, Colin and Katie got married. Signed a restaurant lease. And opened their dream burger spot in Eagle Rock, CA on January 4th, 2025. It was definitely worth the wait.
